Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz fight start time: Live stream, PPV price, TV channel, how to watch, undercard

Jun 18, 2023

Jake Paul's boxing career may be on the line on Saturday night when he faces former UFC superstar Nate Diaz in Dallas. The bout, to be contested at a 185-pound catchweight, is Paul's first since suffering the first loss of his career when he dropped a split decision to Tommy Fury earlier in the year.

Diaz is stepping up in weight, and also making his pro boxing debut. He wrapped his UFC contract after defeating Tony Ferguson in September 2022. After having called out Paul multiple times over the past few years, he finally landed the fight and gets a chance to make a big splash his first time in the boxing ring.

The undisputed women's featherweight championship is also at stake on Saturday night. Amanda Serrano defends her crown against Heather Hardy in a rematch from their 2019 encounter. Hardy has only competed three times since losing to Serrano four years ago, an unsuccessful bid against Jessica Camara and back-to-back wins to secure the rematch. Serrano has gone 7-1 in that time frame losing only to undisputed women's lightweight champion Katie Taylor.

Plus, another former UFC star makes is back in the boxing ring when Jeremy Stephens steps in the ring to take on one of Diaz's training partners Chris Avila. Stephens, 37, has had a rough time since leaving UFC in 2021. He left the promotion without winning any of his final six bouts and then went 1-2 in PFL before turning to boxing. He made his debut in April when he faced an old foe in Jose Aldo and they two fought to a majority draw. Now, he takes on Avila, who has amassed a 3-0 record as a boxer since 2021. Avila missed weight on Friday, but the bout will still go on as scheduled.

The undercard also features three more bouts. Shadasia Green looks to continue her winning ways when she battles Olivia Curry at super middleweight. Green is a fairly big puncher for the weight class and could land herself in a matchup with undisputed queen Claressa Shields down the line. Plus, rising teenage prospect Ashton Sylve is back as he battles Williams Silva at lightweight. Sylve, 19, will compete for the 10th time as a pro with eight of his first nine fights ending by knockout. And welterweights Alan Sanchez and Angel Beltran Villa open the PPV festivities.

The action gets underway at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and DAZN pay-per-view. The full fight card and complete viewing information is listed below. CBS Sports will also have live coverage of the fight with round-by-round scoring and blow-by-blow updates to keep you up to date throughout the night.
